USER ENTERED : Per seed seller (Nikitovka) website, this is a Chinese Heirloom cucumber. It is white with many sharp spines. As it ripens, it may take on a slight yellow tone and the spines turn dark colored and will rub off easily. Because of the white color, the cucumbers are easy to see against the foliage, so no missed fruit when harvesting! The plants are highly productive, with vines that will do best with trellising. Can expect first fruit between 45 and 50 days. Cucumbers are between 5 and 8 inches long. This cucumber has a long shelf life after picking. It has a mild, sweet flavor, is never bitter. It can be canned, pickled or eaten fresh.
